After an unbeaten first half of the season which yielded 5 victories and 2 draws the reverse fixtures commenced with the visit of Filey. Could the team improve on their opening fixture at Filey where they recorded a 4-4 draw.

Things did not start well for the South Cliff rinks, they were behind on each rink after 6 ends by 1-8, 2-8, 3-8 but then things began to move inSouth Cliff’s favour and after 10 ends it was 10-10, 8-10,12-8. By the completion of end 12 South Cliff were up on all three rinks, leads they improved on in the remaining ends to run out winners 24-13, 20-13 and 20-15. Winning the three rinks and also the aggregate shots - 64-41 generates a further 8 points to their season’s total and consolidates their first place in the League

There were a number of members watching and they all enjoyed some excellent bowling from the team, who face Cayton away on Wednesday.

In the Aussie Pairs League South Cliff S head the league after 4 matches having won three - losing to South Cliff who are hovering near the bottom in 9th place (of 10) however they have played one less fixture.
