Six rinks of 4, featuring some members for whom this was their first competitive fixture faced a touring team from Kerry - Mid Wales - who had enjoyed a successful fixture against Filey on Saturday. After 18 ends Kerry ran out winners on all rinks accumulating 117 shots in total - significantly ahead of South Cliff.

After the fixture, which was played in a good spirit and with some humour, the players enjoyed a tea followed by some interesting presentations. For Kerry their worst performing rink were presented with hats. The best performing South Cliff rink of Pam, Robbie, Pauline T and Ken were presented with medals. They were only four shots behind. South Cliff’s rink of Pauline V, Sue M, Bill and Edwin were presented with headwear of leeks and daffodils, signifying the quality of their performance in coming sixth out of six!

The final presentation to Pauline V was a shield to remind us of a splendid afternoon of bowling.
