This was a very successful event, with 27 members and guests enjoying a traditional Burns Night supper.

Scotsman Robbie, and his wife Lynda were our chief guests, wearing traditional Scottish dress. They both looked so impressive. Wendy produced the traditional meal of Haggis, neaps, and tatties, followed by the delicious dessert of cranachan; all being prepared on our very limited cooking facilities - amazing!

Robbie paraded the Haggis amongst the diners, before the traditional address to the food. It was toasted by all with a tot of whisky, and then the meal was served and enjoyed by all.

A quiz presented by Pauline T proved that we English know very little about Robbie Burns, (he fathered 12 children, and died at the age of 38). The star prize for the winning team was a true flavour of Scotland - Irn Bru! Many thanks to Robbie, and to Wendy and her team of helpers. A great evening.
